August 2016 Monthly Star Blast Horoscopes

ARIES
Well, we open the month with a new moon and, your ruler in
Sagittarius- that’s a whooole lot of
fire: but also, opportunity for new
beginnings. You will be feeling like taking big steps, trying new things and
breaking free- which, might make you feel as though some things are holding you
back just a bit, Aries, but, if you can balance things: it could be an
excellent time to reconnect, too. Your mood will likely be a lot better than it
has been in a while- which is pretty good because the last few months have been
a challenging buzzkill, right?
That New Moon on the 2nd- which is in Leo, will bring a nice
boost to your love life if you want it.
For those of you who are single: you might not be looking for that stroll down
the aisle, and there is nothing wrong
with that. Have some fun, play a bit- the energy is just perfect for it, and
meeting new and interesting people to play with.
Those of you who are in relationships may find this is where, as I mentioned:
put the zing back into things. Remember how you were when you first hooked up?
Get back to being like that.
Moving on, you will find that on the 5h when Venus moves
into Virgo, things start to feel a bit more productive and organized. This will help you pick up some more
opportunities but also finish some things out. In addition to that, this is an
interesting combination which tends to bring about some great creative energy.
Remember, we’re getting things squared away for Mercury stationing Retrograde
in Virgo at the tail end of the month: so, take the opportunity to get things
under way with that. Then, we move along to the 13th of the month, where Saturn
finally stations direct- also in Sagittarius. This
will enable you to move forward even more and make you feel like you’re
actually on the right track, now.
On the 22nd, as the Sun moves in Virgo with Venus, keeping
busy and productive will feel like second nature- and you’ll find that your
attention to detail, whether it be schedules,
just life in general, health matters and otherwise comes in handy. Once Venus
moves out of Virgo and into Libra on the 29th, you will find that you get a
little less serious, enjoy a better balance and can really feel a stronger sense of harmonious interactions with
others.
On the 30th, that is when Mercury stations Retrograde in
Virgo. Having everything organized early on in
the month will help to ease transitions and keep you on track: but, you may
find little issues emerge with your regular routine, and you may find that
health issues you’ve been putting off dealing with re-emerge: so, take care to
nip them in the bud and get things back on track.
TAURUS
For you, Taurus, Mars moving into Sagittarius on the 2nd will enable you to more fully change those things you need to-
in big ways. If you have noticed that there are areas of your life that could
certainly be marked “needs work”- do so. These aren’t just temporary band-aid style changes, either- this is for
keeps, so make sure that you are a bit more serious in how you deal with
things, and try to maintain a balance. You don’t want to get too ate up with
one area or another, or your focus won’t be fully
where it needs to be.
One thing that this Mars movement can definitely
help you out with is intimacy- and how you convey your emotions to others. You
may be feeling a bit more affectionate and loving anyway, with a little boost from Venus to help out- give in to it.
Establishing this baseline of communication and emotional connection will be
particularly key if you have been experiencing problems in your relationships- come the end of the month. More on that in a
minute. With Venus also moving into Virgo- you have plenty of allies in
repairing any damage done over the course of the past few months in your
relationships. Getting in touch with that more playful, fun-loving side of yourself and bringing things back around to how
they were, while fully acknowledging all that has occurred will help. Little
pro-tip, here: romance is a big thing and if it hasn’t been a big thing for
you- it’s certainly a way you can bridge that divide. If you’re single all
those things hold true, too: just be more open to what’s out there, indulge in
romance a bit more, and you’ll find yourself enjoying yourself, meeting new people and possibly, making that connection
you want.
On the 13th, Saturn finally stations direct- and you will find that if you have
been held back, or felt stuck: you won’t be anymore. You have been hanging on
to some pretty serious issues, it’s been
eating up your motivation like your own
personal emotional vampire? Well, now you can fix that- and you should, Taurus.
Be more responsible for your own
emotional well-being. Find the balance in
what you need to have more initiative and control on- and what you should let
others take care of. Once Venus moves out
of Virgo on the 29th, you will find that you’ll be able to get a lot more done, and your creative urges will be just
jumping up and out of you. Unless...the
work stinks. If you have one of those jobs
you can’t take pleasure in, this may
cause you to really notice that, and really put a hulk smash on your motivation.
Maybe, it’s time to consider the difference between surviving and thriving- and
working to change that. In the meantime, trying innovative approaches to boring
ol’ problems may help you keep motivated
enough to make said changes.
Mercury stations retrograde in Virgo on the 30th- right in all the areas of
your house that have to do with your relationship, Taurus. Here’s why I said:
if you need to sort it, sorted, and how. Because, this one really could either
be a lot of fun where you both connect much more strongly for working together
towards a common goal- or, it could be the final push that says, “This isn’t
working.” Of course, you don’t want to end things during a retrograde, but, if
you need to, the signs are gonna be
there. Quite clearly. The continued theme will be
compromise, so, make sure you’re continually working towards that goal
of improved intimacy and balance- you’ll weather it just fine. Forewarned is
forearmed. ;)
GEMINI
So, the month opens with a new moon and Mars moving into Sagittarius- boom!
Motivation, Gemini, you have it. This is
going to hit you square in the weirdest place,
though: your love life. If you’re with
someone- or it’s getting kind of serious,
you may find yourself feeling a bit greedy with their time: but, you’ll really just be wanting to connect more, so,
balance it and you will. Lack of balance there and you could get a little
pushy: so just be mindful. Take it easy, keep it playful- and it’ll be great.
If you’re single, though: these things coming together are pretty freaking
awesome. Sort of. If you get hung up on
being “forever alone”- you could get really
grouchy, but, if you look at it like an
exploration on the Love Boat or something- it can be a whole lot of fun finding
the One. (Or, maybe not the one, but the fun one, or two, or three, if you so
choose.) That New Moon being in Leo- well, you’re going to get a whole lot of
energy, may as well make the most of it, right?
Moving on to the 5th- Venus goes into Virgo,
and you’ll find yourself feeling a little bit less like going out- but, really,
just wanting to be with your tribe, working on things at home. Kind of like,
you start the month feeling all explorational, but, pull back, take a break, comfort, and stability- and then get moving
again. While I joke about having a lot of fun, there’s going to be that urge to
seek out someone you can really feel a
connection with, and certainly, it’s possible. Then the next week, on the 13th,
the fog may start to really feel like it
has lifted as Saturn stations direct and you start to get ready to either
rebuild relationships or form newer,
solid foundations.
Closing out the month, first, Venus will then LEAVE Virgo, moving into Libra
and this will give you a bit of a creative boost coupled with a silver tongue:
you’ll be feeling more like using that for fun rather than for productivity:
but who says it can’t be both? Establishing and reestablishing romance is still
very much emphasized- so, all in all, this is not a horrible month at all. Not
that any ever truly are. ;) When both the Sun and Venus end up in Virgo on the
22nd- warm bonds can be formed or made stronger by being around those you are
the closest to. During this time, it is
going to be imperative that you work on how you feel about yourself- as it
relates to the way that others see you and interact with you. Begin to work on
finding that internal balance: and you will be pretty glad you did, because…
Mercury stationing retrograde in Virgo on the 30th...uh
oh? Maybe, maybe not.
Because Mercury does rule your sign- you may find that the impact hits you in
some weird ways. You could begin to feel a little bit unsure of yourself, and
starting to note that...well, some people
in your life are all take, take, take-
with very little give. Balance is needed and balance you can have: that’s what
Mercury retrograde REALLY means. Make
sure you’re utilizing the good from earlier- the expressive, the communication:
and find appropriate and healthy outlets for the things you feel.
CANCER
Between the New Moon in Leo and Mars heading into Sagittarius, oh, Cancer- that
bummer deal sort of draggy feel you’ve been experiencing? Get ready for a jolt
of fire, and get ready to enjoy it as this energy begins to course through
everything like espresso for the soul. Here’s the thing, and it’s an important
one: the more you do, the more this will grow, so, go, go, go. This energy can
be a little on the distractible side, so if you do have mountains to break
down: one stone at a time, Cancer- much of this occurs in areas impacting work and
career life.
Use the fantastic side effect of increased attention to the details to really streamline things- because well, in
about a week or so: it’s going to be pretty important to have things in order.
I will get to it in a minute, here- but, moving on… on the 5th, Venus will
wander on into Virgo, and this will help that along tremendously. On an
emotional level, this particular transit will help you convey what you feel in
a more organized way: so, your love life can clearly benefit, too. Skipping
ahead a little: once Saturn stations direct on the 13th, also in Sagittarius,
you’ll find it gets even better as your focus gets much better, as well.
Efficiency will improve a great deal now, which should suit you well.
I didn’t mention this much in the prior signs’ horoscopes, but for you guys-
the full moon in Aquarius on the 18th is a pretty big deal: particularly given
what happens later in the month. If you have been sitting on some feelings,
dealing with internal conflict, and needing to have a real sit down with
someone: this would be a good time to do it. The reason you will feel so
uncomfortable with how you feel- is because it’s time for you to confront it,
even if you really do not want to. On the
29th, when Venus leaves Virgo and moves into Libra, you will find that love
gets a highlight- and these things can sort of blend
together very well because you’ll be feeling a bit more upbeat, but
also, more capable of working on your emotional needs. Self-care will definitely be
a need, here- so don’t skimp on yourself like you tend to. This is no time to be a martyr, intentionally
or unintentionally, so be mindful you’re not putting others’ needs before your
own- or even to the exclusion of your own.
Closing the month out we have Mercury stationing retrograde in Virgo- and it’s
going to really focus on those
communication issues with you, Cancer. Mentally, that clarity you had early in
the month may get a bit shakey- this is
easily dealt with by giving yourself some puzzles to chew: preferably, the kind
you LIKE working on. Play some chess or
something, don’t make a person your puzzle right now. Engaging in things like
that to busy your brain will keep you a bit more centered- but still yet,
others’ communication may perplex you a bit. If someone’s
being passive-aggressive or otherwise unclear and it’s important? Make
sure you know what they mean, do not assume, do not walk away confused. The
same may happen to you: so don’t assume everyone knows exactly what you mean and clarify everything. I have never, ever
believed in the usual fatalistic interpretations of Mercury Retrograde, Cancer-
and you shouldn’t, either. You can see how the month moves along to prepare
you- so, use that and the issues that DO emerge during the retrograde station
will strengthen you, instead of hindering you.
LEO
This is going to be an interesting month
for you, Leo- first, we begin with the New Moon on the 2nd, smack in your sign
and that same day, Mars moving into Sagittarius, which is a fire sign: like
yours. It’s a whoooole lot of fire going on, and you’ll be feeling it, and really, more un-interested in dramatic theatrical emotional outbursts or heavy stuff
than usual. Sometimes, you have a little fun with that- but, not the first week
of August. Things have been heavy enough for a while now and well, it’s like
the release valve goes POP and you can finally have some fun: so you want to.
On the more serious front- that’s not to say you won’t be interested in being
an adult: you’ll just be thinking about how you can amp up the positive, and
this will include your health. Anything creative you engage in will just seem to expand your mind and have you feeling
pretty good- and if you’ve been feeling sort of
alien and surreal: you may just find yourself feeling more like yourself and
more ready to put a shine on everything. Love has a fantastic emphasis in this,
and if things have gotten pretty stagnant with a relationship: you might be
able to bring back that lovin’ feeling.
(Everyone asks when I make references to music: I’m actually 37 but, yes, I dig
the Righteous Brothers.)
Venus moves into Virgo this week, too, on the 5th and that’ll have you feeling
that lovin’ feeling A LOT more. Except,
it’s not so much the crass, sort of
flashy sexuality- but rather, sensuality. Big Time Sensuality- oh, look at
that, it’s a Bjork reference. (People generally
expect THAT one of me. LOL) You will, however, find that some things are just
too good to rush and that there’s a wonderful sort of easiness to it all- but,
also: be kinda careful with this. The
passion you experience may well feel like everything should rush, however, you might not actually be ready for the commitment that could
be tempting you. Again, just take it slow, and everything works out better:
your focus should be on stabilizing some things and, well, Saturn stationing
direct on the 13th may help that a bit. Jumping forward to the 22nd when the
Sun and Venus are both in Virgo: well, this will help even more, and it will have you feeling a lot more
ready to take better steps towards fiscally rewarding and stable ventures.
On the 18th, there’s a full moon in the sign opposing yours- Aquarius. The
Leo/Aquarius axis is an interesting one we’ll explore more fully in this
month’s astrology lesson, but: it can bring up some issues to be sorted- and
this will be one of those make or break things in love. If you can look at
things and see there’s room for improvement- but improvement IS possible: this
can be very beneficial. If you can’t see any wiggle room there at all: it may be
time to consider breaking that tie. Then on the 29th, Venus leaves Virgo into
Libra- and you’ll begin to feel stronger in your communication, and mental stimulation will be essential as it becomes easier for you to understand others- and be better understood.
All of this leads up to Mercury stationing retrograde in Virgo on the 30th,
which, well- hits you in the pocketbook. Forewarned is forearmed, and if you
work towards balance and security earlier in the month, it shouldn’t be too
bad. The one area you may have a little bit of
an emotional tangle with in this is that your ego may be a little frailer- and
this can have the thoughtless words and actions of others making you pretty
sensitive: don’t take things personally and if anyone comes across as a bit
emotionally manipulative: consider why they’re trying to make you feel a
certain way and don’t take the bait.
VIRGO
It’s going to be an emotionally transformative month ahead in August for you,
Virgo! With the new moon in Leo and Mars moving into Sagittarius first thing on
the 2nd: you may just find that your own
emotional state is becoming a bit more important. Clarity will bring about a
better understanding as to why it’s no good to be passive aggressive, why you
need to have confidence in the fact that- well, your needs are important, too,
and you will begin to better understand why
being around supportive people is key, now. This
is certainly a time of new beginnings for you in a very real sense- and
planting seeds now will bear tremendous fruit. Nothing instant, mind you, but,
you’re definitely in investment mode.
On the 5th, this will lean more towards your romantic side as Venus moves into
your sign making you feel a bit more amorous- you’ll also enjoy the benefit of
a silver tongue and some charm that just makes you a lot more magnetic. The Sun
starts to hang out with Venus in your sign on the 22nd, and that will have you feeling a bit more self-centered- but,
in a good way: because you need that balance, and you’ll be feeling more like
you’re getting what you need. Towards the end of the month, when Venus goes
from Virgo to Libra, well, it only gets much better still- so, anything that
happens in between then won’t throw too much of a wrench in the gears, there.
All of that has the undercurrent of stability,
and a greater level of understanding as Saturn will station direct on the 13th.
Here’s where I have to remind you, as I did the other signs: I don’t
particularly care for the usual Mercury Retrograde stuff. While yes, it can be
vexing- usually, we are being shown important areas that need improvement- and
well, Virgo, you may get a dose of it at the end of the month when challenges
do begin to arise. If you take a really
deep breath- you’ll recognize, it’s all a lot of very minor things.
It can feel like a lot- but, don’t sweat
the small stuff. The big deal with this retrograde for you is going to be
clarifying the way you communicate, having greater confidence in yourself- and
understanding that you do deserve a lot better than you allow, much of the
time. If you catch yourself being very self-critical
during this time- counter it with something wonderful. Maybe treat yourself,
and take a little time to remember: yes, you do deserve good things, and
because you do: you should communicate those needs with clarity.
LIBRA
On your marks, get set, GO, Libra! We open the month with a really wonderful New Moon in Leo and Mars
moving into Sagittarius. This will have
you finally feeling like you are no longer stuck- and with Saturn stationing
direct on the 13th, to boot? Well, you’re more ready than ever to get this show
on the road and get things going. You will feel a bit stronger with newer, more
innovative approaches to things- and definitely, ready to shake up that status
quo. You have been for a while, but there have been some challenges to your
ego, which have impacted your confidence levels- you should find this shift
feels pretty good and helps you to move forward more, now.
You will be wanting a little more privacy
in your love life- kinda blended in with
a newfound drive for a much more mutually affectionate situation. You want
something deeper and stronger- and you may just find that you’re wanting to experiment a little. If
you’re looking for love, well, the attraction for someone who isn’t usually
your type may be too much to deny- and coupled Libras may find that shows of
loyalty really put the gloss back on the
relationship. Once the transit at play here- which was Venus moving into Virgo
is over- and the goddess of love moves into your sign on the 29th: you will be wanting a little more alone time, so make
sure that you’re clear with your partner if you’ve got one that it’s nothing
personal. Balance will actually be pretty easy to achieve during this
time.
There really aren’t a tremendous amount of transit fireworks at play for you until the end of the month when Mercury stations retrograde at the end of the month- but, for you, it’s really kind of something that needs to be dealt with. It usually is, no matter what gets brought up- but, you may find that a ghost from the past needs a good smudging out of your life. Things you thought had already been buried have a way of popping up during this time frame until September when Mercury stations direct again. You will also want to be careful not to allow your own mind to beat you up- if you find yourself doing things out of habit, you’ll probably want to address that, too.
SCORPIO
You have had a lot of serious “pain in the butt” type situations for a few
months now- and I think that may be a little more glib than the challenges you
may have been facing might have been. However, here’s the good news, Scorpio:
for the most part, that headache is over. Mars was in your sign and is now
moving into Sagittarius paired with a New Moon in Leo: both of which can help
you tremendously to balance things out, slow down, and stabilize so much.
The hits to your ego suddenly don’t feel quite so bruised- and you may begin to
have a bit more faith in yourself again, which helps you to take the steps you
need to. Though you won’t be as super charged
in terms of energy as others may be-
you’ll find that the longevity and stamina you now have make up for all of that.
The Moon is doing some interesting things with you this month, and that’s where you may need to be a bit mindful. You might
not feel as connected to others as you did before, and this can have you
feeling like you’d really prefer to take
things slower, explore things more fully and establish stronger foundations in
your closest relationships than you did before. Now, the New Moon will have you
wanting to focus a bit more on work- goals become very important and you may
start to feel like the direction you’re heading in is a good one, at last.
I think the past few months probably had you worried- but, August will have you
feeling a bit better about all of that. When the Full Moon in Aquarius hits on
the 18th, you might find that lack of connection and detachment go out the
window, though: and you will begin to feel a much stronger need to let others
know how you feel- though, it may not feel that comfortable to start with. That right there is progress- so,
don’t let a little reluctance to do so stop you: explore your feelings, express
them fully and allow those chips to fall where they may.
I wanted to emphasize those for you- because they do come into play with
Mercury stationing retrograde at the end of the month on the 30th. It may seem
like just as you began to feel good about things again- along come these
challenges that make you feel scared, intimidated or even like your dreams
aren’t doable. Don’t let this get to you- but, you do need balance here,
because what this actually is: is just a
little burn out. Balance and reconnecting
with some old loved ones you have fallen out of touch with for support will
help put things right.
SAGITTARIUS
If I am being very honest with you,
Sagittarius, as I was looking at all the data for you guys- I couldn’t help but
thinking about all the things my friend
Jen- the one who does your daily tarot over on Facebook has dealt with this
year: and you guys honestly have. Now, things get very, very interesting. Venus
is moving into the areas of your chart that involve where you’re life’s
heading- and your career. This is going
to make you feel a lot more focused and committed: and you already were!
Granted, your focus this month really won’t be love
and there’s not a lot at play that will impact your love life: so, if you are
partnered up, you may want to take care not to get so focused that your partner
feels left out. That’s pretty much it on that front- and if you’re single, not
such a big deal at all, is it?
I think a lot of the challenges you all had based on the transits as I read
them- maybe made you feel a little unsure, a little worried: and that’s about
to lift in a big way. You will find first- this New Moon in Leo on the 2nd-
juxtaposing Mars moving into your sign helps a lot. Your energy levels pick up
more and more, and you begin to feel a lot better in terms of your health and well-being. Venus in Virgo on the 5th
will help drive that along a bit more,
and it will help you come across as impressive and help you feel much more
accountable for everything: so, when you’re making progress- I mean, who ever
heard of not wanting to take credit for being awesome?
Enthusiasm is a big thing for you now, and having a lot of gravitas just seems
to be back on the table- and it felt pretty weird when it wasn’t. About the
only caveat to all of this? Just make sure you do your research and get things
lined up before you take the calculated risks. Though it may be tempting to
leap without looking- it’s not really the
time for that, and I will go into why in
just a minute. Skipping forward to the 22nd, you will find when the Sun joins
Venus there- you’ll get an even bigger boost,
and honestly, those feelings you were having about having lost yourself will
begin to face, and you’ll be back in
black. Saturn stationing direct on the 13th will help you finally put the
kibosh on the areas where you were being
just a bit petty- and that benefits you as well. Growth is a big thing for you
this year. You ought to have that checked out. (I’m kidding! But, yes, growing
pains- you had them, didn’t you? It’s true.)
All of this is leading up to Mercury retrograde- in Virgo, on the 30th. All the
above, you need to hang on to those feelings- because, well, like bad chili
cheese fries that taste so good: it will all come back up again and that may
burn. When you do get hit with a few challenges or delays- it may bring back
some bad memories from earlier on of failures or setbacks and that can have you
feeling a bit shaky in your new found confidence. Just remember- you have been through so much the past couple of years, and
this is very temporary.
Being incredibly mindful of what you say
to other people is going to be huge for you- and that isn’t to say you
shouldn’t feel like you can’t express yourself: but you might want to temper it
a little with understanding, rather than going full blown preacher on others.
Asking questions, rather than making statements will help in that. Most
importantly- don’t allow any delays, challenges or misunderstandings to make
you feel less than confident about the path you’re
on. You’ve got this, and you
always have.
CAPRICORN
Fellow goats, this is going to be long because- I took one look at our stuff
and I just smiled. Nodded. Then, I pinched the bridge of my nose a bit, shook
my head and muttered. Has it felt like this year has been one challenge after
another? Like everything’s been culminating all full circle? Yes, yes, it has.
Has this been absolutely exhausting?
Again- yes, it has. But guess what? Breath of fresh air time! First, we open
the month with A New Moon in Leo- paired nicely with a fine red Mars in Sagittarius.
This is excellent because with everything
being such a chaotic hot mess for so many of us- well, instead of being this
big burst of energy like a lot of other signs are getting: we finally feel like
things slow a bit, like we can actually rest up and recuperate from
Transformation-A-Thon 2016. Now, that may feel a bit like you’re dragging a
little at times: remember, your body’s
telling you to chill out. So do that. (I know. I know. It usually helps if your
chill out is something that stimulates your mind a bit- you know, a good
debate, some challenging video game, something REALLY good to binge on Netflix,
a good book- things like that.)
Another thing? And it’s not just the gifted people, Capricorn: intuition
becomes a lot more heightened and from there a new rush of inspiration can
finally begin to flow freely after feeling rather “Bleh!” for a while. Biggest
themes for now- unpack the emotional baggage, figure out those areas you’re
still shooting yourself in the foot with, sort some more things out and make
things nice and clean. I always like to look at it like I am purging the
negative to make way for the positive. A little housecleaning for the soul.
(And, if in the famous Capricorn way, you actually did happen to skim the other
signs: you’re probably already guessing why I’m setting this up.) Like I said
to Sagittarius- love really isn’t our big
focus this month: though a lot of these issues may involve that and so, you may
want to be sure you let those close to you know, it’s nothing personal, you’re
just evolving and need space. In some cases, given the theme of letting go- it
may actually BE personal and of course,
you should act accordingly. Granted, a lot of this energy is driving some
serious passion- but, it may well be that you are so not looking to put a ring
on it for a while: and that’s okay. It will, however, be imperative that you
discern which is which- especially if you’re in a relationship. (Again, I bet
you can guess what happens on the 30th, already.)
Close to midmonth- and you might already begin to see little signs of this
early on: Saturn, our ruler, goes direct
and can I get a “Heck yes!” on that one? I won’t go too much into my personal
life- because I know that’s not what you’re here for: but, yeah. We have all
been getting the past dredged up for months, now, since it went retrograde- and
well, it may have been pretty overwhelming. I mention this because well, I did
also talk about housecleaning for the soul- and nothing gunks up your spiritual
grout quite like garbage from the past, does it? Now, it may feel just a bit
easier to deal with, sort, and let go.
Closing out the month, Mercury Stations Retrograde. Yep, you were absolutely right, Capricorn, because, frankly:
you usually are. Except...with this one, you might not be. You know how the
standard Mercury retrograde rules are “Don’t start anything, don’t end
anything” on and on? Well...here we go, and this plays out one of two ways. You
might begin to feel quite emotionally claustrophobic. This might hit you in your love life- it may just be relatives or
friends that have become way, way too needy. It may also hit you right in the
solar plexus, spiritually and you might start to feel like the entire world
makes no sense. (I honestly always feel a bit like that and I know a lot of you
do too- particularly, in the states where our recent political state seems to
be “Stay tuned, you’ll be shocked what happens next!) Balance and grounding,
Capricorn. It’s all about balance and grounding- first off, those people who are being needy? They are being needy,
you are not misreading, but it does not
mean that you need to run, kicking and screaming into the night. It does,
however, mean that you need to put your foot down and let them know it’s too
much. Boundaries are your friend with people who take way too much.
AQUARIUS
If you’ve been stuck in a rut and feeling
like everything’s been all by the book, Aquarius- yay! You can break free of
that as August rolls on in. The month opens with Mars going into Sagittarius on
the 2nd and a New Moon- not bad for cracking things open and starting over. You
may be feeling a bit more accepting of some of your “quirks” and if you feel a
little like letting that freak flag fly: well, dig in and go big or go home. Be
yourself, unapologetically and be ready to dive right out of that complacency-
and get into some new and interesting things.
Let’s get into some Virgo action- because here’s where it all shakes out. We
have some interesting things happening in that sign- starting on the 5th as
Venus moves into it. You will be in full on
research mode, but also? Ready for love, ready for friendship, and ready to
feel a sense of purpose and connection rising up
again. Intimacy will be a huge factor,
and you can definitely enjoy that- and
take your time, use that “research mode”. It’ll work out very well whether you
are single or partnered, really. Lay the
groundwork now, because at the end of the month when she leaves Virgo,
transitioning into Libra, you won’t be feeling quite so serious about everything
and you’ll need some time to process.
You will again be feeling like exploring- and again, whether you are single or
in a relationship: this can be pretty awesome. Before that, however: the Sun
will move into Virgo as well, and you
will have a further asset in the cosmic toolbox of love. (Wow, did I really just write that?) This will help you to do the digging in an
emotional sense, and your ability to understand- and be understood becomes really wonderful and can lead to big
transformations. Be careful, though to be mindful and clear: otherwise, the energy here tends to look a bit
shady to others, but also- oddly, intriguing. Works pretty well if you’re
single but in a relationship that can cause a little friction.
This all leads right into Mercury
stationing retrograde on the 30th- again, in Virgo. Emotionally, you might not
feel quite so good; you may have brought
up some topics during the course of your
emotional digging, you may have pinged on some issues that needed sorting. This is why Mercury retrograde can be an
incredibly powerful ally- so do not shy away from this now. Confront those
things. The insecurity that may arise- it needs to be squished into bits so you
can fully enjoy the transformations you made early in the month. Be very careful
about being sarcastic with those you care about- and do not engage in the
Debbie Downer mood that threatens. The way forward and the way to balance all
of this? Openly communicate your insecurity- be vulnerable and be open,
connecting with others for support and encouragement.
PISCES
All the fire energy at play to open the month may feel a bit weird to you,
Pisces: but, it can be pretty great. It’s time to make some use of all those
grand plans and dreams- and you know you’ve been really deeply thinking about them the past few months and now?
Well, get ready to manifest, ‘cause
that’s where it’s at. That may sound
pretty high fallooting- except, it’s really not because your approach is grounded,
it’s reasonable, and it is practical. That ambition
rising up in you, the wonderful tie-in of all of this to Saturn finally
stationing direct on the 13th? Aaaaah yes. Swim, fish, swim.
On that Saturnine note: steer clear of pettiness, and don’t take big risks
without digging into the details first. You’ll be fine if you just stick to working what you have, and really,
allowing your brilliance to shine through hard work. We open this month with
Mars moving into Sagittarius- which, well, being as Mars happens to be in parts
of your chart all about your destiny and your career: that’s not a bad thing at
all. The New Moon in Leo is ALSO there, which is fantastic because it lends a lot of enthusiasm to
everything you do and gets you noticed as a result.
Venus happens to be running around in the parts of your chart that involve your
love life- whiiiich can get pretty
interesting. For those of you in relationships, you might be finding yourself
wanting to give more- but, if you’re not getting it back in a wonderful
feedback loop: you might notice this a bit more. Venus moves into Virgo on the
5th- and straight away, you’re wanting to spend time around like minds, wanting
to be more romantic: which, I cannot even imagine how much more romantic a
Pisces can be: because you’re pretty much hardwired for it anyway. For those who are single this sort of comes out as looking for something a
bit more stable and real.
It gets a bit interesting with the Full Moon in Aquarius on the 18th because the past seems to keep coming back
up: either outright or in the way you do things. Intense dreams and intuition
are also a big thing for you during this- and your intuition has been telling
you some things here lately that aren’t entirely comfortable, but, may need
addressing. That’s not to say all the dreams you have will just stink- not at
all. Sometimes, that intuition’s leading you down a wonderful rabbit hole,
isn’t it?
And here we go: Mercury stations retrograde at the end of the month on the
30th: right in the heart. Again, the standard of not ending or beginning things
during a retrograde in play: but you might see some things that give you cause
to pause on that front. What may happen, communication breakdown- it may not
seem like you are being understood and
that could hinder you a bit: but, if you listen actively: both with your heart
and with your ears, this can help. What you hear, when you are listening, may be a little uncomfortable, as well: but,
it’s something that needs resolution. Finding balance amid the social chaos can
be hard won during this time for you, too- but, if you’re able to get away and
have some alone time: it will be easier to deal
with.
