Financial Astrology: The Mars Retrograde Effect

Financial Astrology: The Mars Retrograde Effect

Posted by Victoria Reinertsdatter on 27th Jun 2016

So, I’m looking at how this Mars retrograde moving into Scorpio at the end of May had an impact on the month we’re currently in- and it seems to me as though this could be some highly challenging times for people who work with trading and investing. I know that some might wonder about that because, really, the planet’s not tangled up in anything incredibly negative here. The thing is, though, looking at things on a broader scale it really seems as though Saturn and Neptune moving into this sort of negative lockstep where they’ll stay for much of the year from here on out is going to begin to reveal some secrets and worse, create a lot of restrictions in terms of trading. Checking further, there, it really also seems like banking is going to be changing- particularly in the way that lending is done and there may be some kind of change with interest rates or otherwise

That same square really doesn’t seem like it’s going to do a whole lot of favors for oil- there might be some kind of unrest there or some sort of challenges involving people which have an impact on supply and, as a result, cause the prices to increase. It also seems as though this combination of movement with the Sun, Jupiter, Uranus, and Saturn may also have a really intense impact and there may be a bit more strife that leads to some sort of military intervention. The reason I mention this is that will have a financial impact as Mercury makes an interesting aspect to Mars on the 10th creating a lot of issues with security as well and these things may have an economic impact worldwide.

That’s not to say that it looks entirely bad- Mercury and Venus do come into play here which will make very controlled, balanced transactions have a bit more favor. Being careful, diversifying things, and getting rid of things that aren’t showing many signs of movement is probably a wise choice this month.

It really does seem, however, that the biggest things are going to be in banking- again, we’ve got that Mars in Scorpio influence which has an impact on finances. You throw in Jupiter, Mercury, and Virgo- and there also seems to be some sort of technological upheaval or change- now, I don’t think that one is going to be necessarily bad. However, I look at a lot of these influences being somewhat emotionally volatile- and the way that they all sort of culminate in Mars going direct, again in Scorpio at the end of the month and on the whole it really seems to me as though the month of June’s going to be a fairly tense one, financially speaking. As far as it goes, it really seems like the 21st, 25th, and the 30th are going to be the best days this month- on the whole, due to first, some really nice Mercury/Jupiter interaction and then, Venus also making some excellent aspects the following dates.

All of this has me scratching my head a little, I have to admit because, I keep digging in a little bit in terms of how the Mutable Grand Cross impacts all of this- on the 4th, it hit with Venus in Gemini, Jupiter conjunct the North Node/Virgo, Saturn in Sagittarius- and then, Neptune conjunct that South Node in Pisces. There were some fixed stars in the mix too that really made me curious- because it interacts with an Earth Grand Trine- and of course, we still have Pluto in Capricorn until 2023, in which time it moves into Aquarius. I look at all of this, sort of stretching out and I can’t help wondering about the seeds being planted now- not just on the financial markets, but in terms of global and national politics here in the States. A lot of this, when you draw it out towards that movement of Pluto really seems like a process by which vast changes are already underway- and even bigger, more explosive ones are standing right behind them. We have the interesting things at play now, of course, but then you get into how these things move forward in the context of Pluto. I got to looking at all of this based on the US- the Sibly chart, sure, but if we are going with that, the same year that Pluto moves out of Capricorn into Aquarius is when the US has it’s Pluto return, which is a time of vast transformation. However, there’s also a Neptune opposition. To tie it back to the now, with quite a lot of indicators of banking issues, political upheaval, and issues with OPEC that seem to start bubbling up, moving into this big stellium in 2020- it really does seem to me that the events that take place this month are going to be sort of a spark- not the one that lights the powder keg so much, I think that’s already been done. But perhaps one that will begin the process of many different things coming into place which will, for a time, create a lot of tension, challenges and otherwise- but ultimately, lead to better things.
